Our charter

Organized August 16, 2026

Long Branch Baptist Church is now a chartered, independent New Testament Baptist church.

On Sunday, August 16, 2026, the families of Long Branch Baptist Church gathered in this little country church house, signed a charter, and were organized as an independent New Testament Baptist church.

The charter was granted under the authority of New Life Baptist Church of Garnett, Kansas — the sending church that stood behind this work while it grew. Our founding members affixed their signatures that morning, agreeing together to administer the Lord's ordinances, advance His worship, encourage Christian fellowship, and be governed by His will as revealed in the New Testament.

A green ribbon was cut at the front steps, the doors opened, and the same congregation that had been meeting here kept right on meeting — now standing on its own before the Lord.

The building is old and the field across the road is planted in corn. What happened here is not new either: a group of believers covenanting together to be a New Testament church. We would be glad to have you join us.

From the charter

“We, the undersigned, do here and now, by this charter, declare ourselves an independent New Testament Baptist church — to administer His ordinances, advance His worship, encourage Christian fellowship, and to be governed by His will as revealed in the New Testament.”

The doors are open, and there is a seat for you.

Same church house, same county road, same welcome. Come see us this Sunday.
